Social Media! The Pressures...

"Did you see this trend?" "Oh gosh! Is Kylie Jenner really a billionaire at 21?!"
So many events occur every second of the day. Everyone is constantly posting about his or her life or a common trend: "Ask me a question." I'm so tired of seeing those Instagram Stories. One person starts then the entire chain reaction begins and never stops.
I have the majority of the social media platforms out there. I only use two and sometimes three. I don't normally post everyday, but I try to post once a week. Maybe I'll start posting twice a week.
Breathe... Put the phone down... Calm down

Having social media can be overwhelming. Social media takes away from memorable moments, which might not happen ever again. Who knows! That was contradictory for me to say, but I'm guilty of this too. I open Instagram, look through my feed, and like the photos. Looking at the photos make me want to be adventurous or be active. The photos I scroll through make me feel bad about myself.
When this happens I try to produce another video. This works sometimes, but I forget I don't have space on my camera and I'm back down to level zero. I put my phone down and stare at wall. I think to myself: "Why go through the troubles?" "What's the point of social media?"
What I think about social media
Honestly, I come to the conclusion of social media being the center of our lives trying to crave for attention. Social media molds us into becoming insecure about ourselves. Feeling insecure and the negative feelings are unhealthy. You're going to make yourself sick, affecting yourself and loved ones around you. The next time you feel pressure: put down the phone, close your eyes and breathe, and think about positive outcomes of relaxing and vacationing away from social media or your phone.
